Oh! Poor Kegan!

Kegan had an abscessed tooth, so I took her to the dentist the other day. He started another root canal on the same tooth she had done a year ago, luckily its still under warranty! This is Kegan one day after the first part of the root canal, she is on antibiotics now. She is not in pain any longer or at least hides it well. I sure hope these antibiotics work like the doctor thinks they will!

Hahaha! makes me think of Dad.

For some reason, i was thinking of Dad when he used to cut wood outside near the garage. We the younger ones would pick up and quickly stack as much wood as we could, all the while dad would use his saw in some maniacal fashion. Wesley is the one with the saw in this one and here is kegan picking up wood.

It was a busy day to say the least it took us 3 hrs to cut the wood but we stacked her all up and put her away. just thought i'd share my bit o' memories!

veteran's day is that a new birthday?

So last night i was going to the movie "Madagascar" with Kegan when, i realized it was veterans day tomorrow (which is today). And i figured "Does that mean i get like two birthdays every year!", i think i should, he he just throwing that in.
The real reason for this post was to inform you if you hadn't heard that i was promoted to the grade and rank , of E-5/Sergeant. It is sort of a new thing to me, it means that i have a little more responsibility. It is also means that I am a Non Commissioned Officer, basically i have no idea what that means except the other NCO's get pissed when i mop the floor. I mean really if i wanna mop a floor why can't I. And just so you know I have not re-upped my contract (renewed), I still am getting out in Dec. 17, 2009. Unless i get deployed six months from that day, to which i will get out as soon as i get back from my deployment. It's still a toss up even with Obama in office. well that's all for now still studying for my CDL and still working my crappy job. i love y'all, I'm out.

response

well i finally got sick of waiting for an answer, to the Jailer job, so i went to the county office and asked if i could get a statis update of my application. they replied that i did not get the job and i didn't make the cut for the hiring list. which confused me cause the only way i couldn't make the cut was if i didn't pass my background check, and the only way that could happen is if someone didn't answer the phone. It just so happens Tom Smith refused to answer his phone, i think he did so on purpose because he was upset about not making the cut as far as i did. It just really makes me mad too see so many of my friends being so unreliable over silly things. maybe thats part of growing up but it still sucks so now i'm looking for other things, pretty much anything now. cross your fingers i hope i get a fair paying job soon.

the visit

Well its near the 1st of the month and no call yet but we have just been visited by family at least on Kegan's side. Her parents have come to see the baptism of there grandchild, our nephew. and to drop off a sudden gift, we are to be the temporary guardians of another nephew Kyrie Linville his mother had a mental break down. So we decided to help out and give him a place to live until she is ready to be mentally stable again. its kinda nice, but at the same time we are going to have to make a lot of changes. I hope we can be strong enough example too make a good impression on his life like all of our family was to me during our little split up. So i have decided the best thing is to make sure he at least has some religious backgrounds and values and started to take him to church the whole 3-4 hrs not just sacrament and we have started making meal times instead of his unusual snack hours he is used to its not something I'm really used to but we really do care for his well being and want the best for him even though we are not really his parents.

Jobs

So anyone who knows me, knows i lose jobs quick. Weird thing is i am not sure why, this last one i got working Steel i quit. although its too high ,plus a Madison County jailer job i applied to wanted me to appear for a test and it was keep the job you hate or go for the job you want. Well so far it seems to have paid off. (i hope) so far i have passed a physical test, consisting of a jump above 14 in., a push up over 21 reps, sit ups over 14 reps, a 300 meter Dash under 77 sec.(which is by the way exhausting) ,and a 1 1/2 run in under 17 min easy. well i past with flying colors. i was in the top 16 out of 40 who made it past the physical. Then right after the last 16 passers went for a written test that took 2 hrs. 2 days later i was informed that they wanted me to come in today for a Oral Board of Revue made me a little nervous, but too my surprise; there questions although deep, and very direct were easy to answer for me they seemed fairly open with me and glad i came in. (cross your fingers) anyhow i just found out from a couple of the other testers one of them Tom Smith that i was one of the 5 out of the 16 chosen to do an Oral Board of Revue. Tom didn't make it i guess :( So now i wait to see how my Background check goes and hope they call me in a few days to a week then comes a polygraph if i make it that far.

stay on target....

all right now that I've taken a trip down memory lane, lets talk about Jon for a bit. Well, Jon's weird! not the freaky "gonna snap off your legs weird." But the "funny ha ha" kinda weird. After Elisabeth's arrival to Utah in the Cash valley region now known as Logan, I and Jon undertook a trip back to Montana to get the car. The circumstances were bad, Heavy snow fall, icy roads,a nutty brother, and a paranoid tired brother trying to over compensate the nutty bro. (alright that's a Lil exaggeration but just go with me here) The trip was promising to be interesting if not fun. most of the way was pretty much Jon saying funny crazy stuff like Dad does when hes tired and i think he was a bit tired since we left almost as soon as i got back. around about mud lake region of Idaho we got hit by the worst snow storm i had seen in a long time, you couldn't even see 5 feet in front of you. much less try too stay the course, (this is where Jon's weird really hit its peak. He started talking to himself " Stay on Target Stay on Target....." i sort of woke up out of my Revelry to these words. i look over and see the speedometer read roughly about 75 to 80 mph on top of the snow and see that we are coasting back an forth on the road. lucky for us Jon's driving skills were on top play we narrowly missed a Commercial Truck that was too our right as he pulled ahead this storm continued till we were roughly 30 miles from butte, and every time we passed a vehicle Jon would say those famous words drawn from a Star Wars movie "Stay on Target...Stay on Target!" he he you goof. well we arrived and picked up the car and headed home. if you noticed i seem to be drawing a lot of blanks its cause i hardly remember this trip mostly cause of exhaustion sorry jon but i tried
